I've read that most people leave the HID bulb in the headlight assembly while baking the unit in the oven. What about the big metal box (the inverter)?

 

I was one of the first to try the oven technique many months ago and I put the whole assembly in the oven at 250...nothing bad happened...but to be honest...it wasn't the greatest idea in the world either...I'm sure things can go wrong...I just got lucky...eveyone else I have talk to that has put there's in the oven they take out the big metal box and pretty much everything else...

I took everything off since it wasn't that difficult, just to be safe...
