Question about suzuka blue?
I noticed the color on the bumper and the hood and the "front side" area is little different under the lights............Is that normal??????????????
what are you referring to? a picture you saw or the one parked on your driveway or what? and different from what? the rest of the car?i haven't noticed the color being inconsistent from one part of the car to another at all. the blue looks different in pictures than in real life and seems lighter/darker depending on whether it's in the shade etc. that seems pretty normal to me.
My Blue S #2557
Appears to have a different shade of blue on all the painted plastic parts vs. the sheetmetal blue....
Seems to be a color match issue...????
Its not noticeable from a distance....
Its just one of those things car guys notice when glancing at their car from every angle

When i park my car in the garage with the garage lights on, that is when i can tell the difference......
the front bumper is more purple-ish than the hood, now i think the rear bumper is too.....
just wanted to know if that is normal......
I dont know if that is a Honda thing or what........My old ITR has like that too, the front bumper and the hood has very slight difference in color, but that only happens when you look at it very close and careful

They use both a different primer and paint on the plastic body parts, a paint that can take a bit of flexing without cracking. Getting that paint to match the rest of the car can be a bit of a hassle.
So it's not unormal for the plastic bits to have s different shade of color.

I usually find that the time of day will dictate the amount of hue that differs from other parts of the car. To me, that's what breathes life into the paint scheme and I love it. Sometimes it appears borderline purple and other times, a rich tone of racing blue (if there is such a thing),
I think colors that change with light are the nicest. My girl's Alero has a gorgeous burnt red metallic finish that does this as well. My dealership has a new silver S2K (they get 'em in one at a time me thinks!) to replace the showroom model I bought in January and to me, it looks like battleship grey. Not a flattering color (sorry to owners)...maybe because it was overcast, but it looked like a hundred coats of Zaino wouldn't do much to bring it to life. Then again, if I saw one in better lighting, I'd probably eat my words.
