Default Mileage - Clutch

Does anybody have over 40,000 miles on there car yet?

Has anybody put a new clutch in yet?

How much for a new clutch installed at the dealership?

slwdwn,

I only have 500 miles on mine, and I have no idea how much a new clutch is, but I like those wheels. Did you send them out to be dipped? How much?

I had the TSB done at just over 36K...special consession by the dealer. It was in decent shape, but the flywheel and pressure place were cracked. There was no slipping and and the clutch disk had a good bit left on it. Based on this I would say they wear pretty well. They just get damaged easily.

15 months old and 40,678 miles the clutch was replaced for the TSB, I have to have it done again (maybe next week) If you have the TSB done it's under warranty. This time if Honda does it again I will have them put in the ACT street clutch.

S2Krazy,

My local wheel guy sent them to Cal for dipping. It cost me $800.00 for all four. They look great on the yellow s2000. Go Sox.

Why do you need to have it done again? Is it starting to slip again? I had my clutch replaced at 8400 miles before the TSB was even out, and I am at 28000 miles and I'm getting worried if its starting to go out again or not.
