Miles on clutch?
A "soft" clutch pedal does not necessarily mean you need a new clutch. (A "slipping" clutch does.) It may simply mean that you are long overdue for a clutch fluid flush and bleed. I see you have an '00, correct? Have you ever changed the fluid? It should be changed every couple of years (at least).
My OEM clutch lasted past 84k miles before it slipped away.
XViper is right, if you haven't done a clutch fluid change you are way overdue. It is super easy and there is a DIY procedure.
BTW, I decided to stay with the OEM setup when I replaced mine. I am not modified and it did a good job for a long time. I did notice the clutch pedal feel is alot lighter now. I almost put it thru the floor when I first started the car.
And ofcourse I have changed my fluid - a few times during my ownership.

I plan on doing the OEM disc with an ACT heavy duty pressure plate when the time comes. This will give higher clamping force and a heavier pedal feel. A HD PP may even help to prolong the life of the clutch disc.
