Default Mingster CAI Reflections

First of all, this product is beautiful. There is a slight hum to the duct, but when you are at speed the intake becomes noticable. According to the "butt-o-meter" the duct adds power at speeds at 30mph+. There is a slight jump in power in the mid-range as well. All in all this was a good mod for $350. I just have one gripe. When closing the hood, one must close it at a MUCH higher distance than usual. This gets me very worried that either the hood or the CF duct will get damaged. No damage so far. Anyways, go get one. It is makes the engine bay look "tighter" than it usually is and it makes for sure power (cold air=HP). Latez!

It'd be great if somebody could provide more insight into the noise that this CAI adds.

it's the same noise as the hum when you open the air box with the engine running.

interesting that adding a CAI would make the same humming as the air box open? any ideas why? did he have a problem with the seal between the airbox and the cai?

Why do u have to close it at a MUCH higer distance? If it doesnt interfere with closing the hood, u should be able to close it at the same height as usual, right?
