Mingster Spoon Wheelz Revisit
Hi gang,
Had a thread below talking about spoon wheels and stuff. I really like the spoon wheels and remember Mingster's car's pictures with spoon wheels from quite a while ago. They were dark, so I decided to brighten them up a bit and post them. Hope they won't bring tears to Mingster's eyes.
Silverstone looks more like sebring now since I brightened the pictures. Before, you couldn't even see the rear wheels since the tree blocked the sun light.
These wheels are love it or hate it kind since they are black in color. But, I actually like the black over the other colors since the black blends with the black tires, you can't really tell how small the wheels look.
Anyone here a fan of black wheels on black car?
Jimmy

I'm not sure how much I'd like them if they were on a black car though.

Lemme ask ya.
In my mind, I have black as my favorite color, followed by the sebring silver and the yellow and red. Now, if I want the spoon wheels, I'd have to choose the sebring silver as the color of the car because I also agree that black wheels on silver car looks better than blk/blk. But, if I choose sebring, I'm giving up my favorite color... black.
What's your take and opinion on this? Car color more important or wheel matching car more important?
Jimmy
P.S. You are up late!!! I'm on the east coast, it's 5am now. Argg.. haha.
Maybe its kinda late here, cause I have no idea what the hell you're saying
*rereads it all* heh
I think its better to choose your car color based on color you like (black), rather than the color of the wheels. Though thats just my opinion
That is of course unless you plan on painting your color later, then that just changes everything. I have a Spa Yellow s2k and I plan on keeping it this color. No plans at all of changing it.

Jaykkub,
Yeah, you are right. I think it looks better with it lowered. I have no idea why though. Is it because the wheels stick out more so it looks weird riding on stock suspension?
Here are 2 pics I saved from the board a while ago. Blk on blk on stock suspension.
Oh, I also think red calipers make a big difference in the look factor.

I'm a big fan of black wheels on black cars ... Gives the car an entire stealth look. Though I'm still searching for some JDM wheels that are as lightweight as the SW388s and have a smooth, fine finish. The matt color doesn't really appeal to me after I experienced smooth, fine finish black wheels on a black car.

Do you happen to have any pictures of any black car with the shinnier black color finish? I'm wondering what shiner black wheels on black car looks like.
Tks,
Jimmy
