Misc ramblings on MY04 features

Speculate on which will be faster all you want.
Tell me the new curb weight and then I'll answer that questions.
Something tells me it's going to weight around 200 lbs more. (so much for .2L and 8% more torque)

significantly faster? give me a break. It has the same peak HP and a slightly larger area under the curve up to 8k where it stops. Prepare to be blown away!!
I have a question about the new diff. What the hell does 20% stronger mean? A lot of the cases of broken diffs have been attributed to the case around the diff flexing which allows the ring and pinion to not mesh correctly. So did they make the diff case stronger or the internal parts? I don't care how strong the internal parts are if the case starts to twist. Also, if it really is "strong" will it drop into a pre-04 chassis? That would be cool.
Does anyone have the gear ratios for the 04? I am going to go out on a limb and say 60 will come in 3rd gear now, which will make it slower to 60 then the 00-03, but I could care less about 0-60 anyway. The more torque and lower gear ratios might be really nice for the race track though. (not 1/4 BS)

Cannot aqnswer the iff question, but they did make the tranny case stiffer, so it should be putting less angular stress on the u-joints/yoke going into the diff, no?
