I'm wondering if there is anything like this out on the market already before I dive deeper into mine.
Anybody know of one?
Yeah,it's called an automatic tranny.

I think a lockout would be a great thing for the S. It's kind of easy to understand why people make mistakes with our closely-spaced 6-speed, even though it's a honey of a transmission (if you ask me).
Truth is, I might have opted for a sequential manual, had one ever been available on the S. But, I'm glad I didn't and there wasn't. The technology wasn't up to it when our car was designed -- and I'm not sure whether it is even today for a car in our price range.
I'm all for a mod that stops people from shooting themselves in the foot, but not at the expense of weight or cost.
Anyway, I'd love to see what bambbrose comes up with.

Yes, there's a first gear lockout. It's a suggested lockout, it's hard to get it into first but, you can force it if you want to. You can override the lockout by rev matching too.
enlight me please because my first gear slot is always open like 7-11

That's right. It's not a lockout, really. The synchronizers (I think) just prevent the car from getting into the lower gears without a rev match. Unfortunately, if you rev match, you can still easily mis-shift.
