that'd be awesome if you pulled up to a cop at a red light with two bud light bottles in your helmet

Bahahaha.. I think top down with a foam-dome would be hilarious, just needs a chin-strap to hold it on while you drive.

I have an AP2, and the cupholders are much less useful than the AP1 was. I choose to keep it only because it looks nice and my iPod fits in there.

I use my OEM cup holder for my iPod and cell phone...

I have slowed down on my mountain biking and attached the titanium cage to the passenger side center console... easy and more rigid than the fold down plastic thing...

Now that you mention it .....................................

The advantage to this unit is that is swivels. With the exception of hard right turns, the beverage stays level and doesn't spill.

I have this and love it. Hold the drink just past the shifter but otherwise out of the way and folds out of the way when not in use and its simple. Only down side is the adjustable arms on the one I got don't hold big bottles in place when you're taking hard left turns. You can find them on eBay for like $5, just search for Honda cup holder.

I use this set up also. It works great, even when driving aggressively.

I also set my waterbottle against the seat and the trany case - works great!
