Default Modifry Strap Fix Question

Hi Guys,

Just finished putting the straps on (wow what a difference!) my question is, there was a little of the original strap left and the new strap wrapped around it. It might just be me being anal but I feel that when the top is up, the bump where the strap is sticks up a bit more where the rivets are. This is for the rear part, as the front part was easier to cut completely off.

Nothing to worry about?

Also seems like the top motor is having a slightly harder time since the strap is tight. I'm assuming this is normal as well.

Thanks!

I just ordered mine a few days ago, was your install pretty easy? I didn't realize I had the problem until someone pointed it out!

It wasn't difficult but it was a pain in the butt! You need patience, but once you figure out how to do it the other side goes a bit faster. It took me about an hour to do everything.

Hi i've just done mine and to be honest i didnt think the straps were anywhere near tight enough. It does work tho'. It should not affect the top
raising or lowering tho and i didnt notice it sticking up any more, are you sure you did it correctly it took me less than five mins to do both.

Yeah. I've got mine but they're still in the package. I'm waiting for cooler weather to do the install. But thanks for the tips - I'll certainly watch out for anal bumps.

I've been pushing that bar back manually for over a year now. Maybe I should order some

Took me about 10 minutes a few months back. Once you get the rivets to stay in place, it goes very quickly. No anal bumps here...nor on the car!
