Thumbs up Mods that don't void warranty?

Would anyone know of Honda's standards as far as something that they would void warranty for being installed???

They tried giving my buddy shit for a CAI when he went in for a recal...

Thanks

Philip

your factory warranty can't be voided just because of mods. they would have to prove that the broken part was caused by a modification you did.

i would avoid that dealership. they are theiving greedy a-holes.

Dealerships can do whatever they want. Legally, they have to honor the warranty unless they can prove the mod caused the problem. However, most people won't take legal measures just to get something fixed... so you're at their mercy.

Because of this, there are no black and white standards. Legally, they couldn't say anything about a CAI or exhaust unless it was the cause of the issue... but they could just as well say your aftermarket wheels void your engine coverage.
