i thought there wasn't much to complain about in the MY04, but i saw someone hit on one of my pet peeves...

the rattling of the passenger side seatbelt on the frame of the convertible top; and, a new irritant is...

my key pressing in the panic button on the keyless remote due to the configuration of the keychain the deealer gave me. the keychain has more of a hinge which causes the edge of the top of the key to sometimes hold the panic button down when i am pulling the keys from my pocket.

i hate that!

i'll agree with most of you with these annoyances, but these gripes are quite trivial when you really think about it.

about the gas tank door release thing, even if you live in a state where you have to pump your own gas, it shouldnt be such a big hassle considering that youre already on your way out to check your oil anyways.. RIGHT?

most of these annoyances can be fixed or modified easily with some DIY information from our members on this board.

louder horn

one of our valued members has a site that contains awesome information on a bunch of DIY installs like power locks, garage door openers, accessory power mods, and some other cool stuff too. modifry's site

my biggest gripe would be all the rattling with the top up. i purchased some foam strips and padded the bottom of the windscreen, the hidden compartment and even covered the passenger seat belt with a sweatband!

but when it comes to it and the top's down, right foot on the floor, and every muscle in my body straining to keep my body upright, all these things are totally forgotten and the fun begins!

WOW, your wife drives a Civic Type R? Is it the EK9 or the EP3R?

Got any pictures?

BTW, the loud road noise is probably due to the convertible top, and the lack of lots of sound deadening.... I had an Integra Type R and that thing was loud as hell.

We drive performance hondas, not bimmers

Interior size. I'd own a S2000 now if it were a little bigger inside. Even the '04 doesn't have enough room. I'm 6'6". My knees push on the dash and my head is taller than the roll hoops

yeah the fuel release is the most irratating part, first of all the day after i got it i took it to the gas station and it took me and the Attendant (In jersey we cant pump our own gas) like 10 minutes to find it, and when the doors closed the only person that can get there hand back there, is a midget or a 6 yr old. the seond thing i dislike is lack of a glove box, if there is one i havent found it the one inbetween the seats can fit a soda can at the most, and my biggest disapointment is i pay 33 g's for a car without a cupholder. WTF? so im gunna say this again in list form

1. No Cupholders
2. Small as Hell Stash Box
3. Poor Gas Realease Location
4. Ride Hieght

Man, that Type R is HUGE lol

The thing I'm still most in awe about this car that we all own and love is how tiny it is, but how when I'm sitting in it, it's not.

I just wish the cruise control wasn't mounted where it is. Or at least it could be smaller and less in the way...

After fixing the things that did annoy me, I'd say the biggest thing is having to change the brightness level of the dash to HIGH, everytime I put the headlights on. I don't know how anyone could drive with them on low, if they've seen the high setting.
