Most Quite S2000 Transmission/Clutch!
I just finished changing my clutch to a Star Stage II and while I had the transmission out I lined the transmission tunnel with Dynamat Xtreame! I also changed the fluid to GM synchromesh transmission fluid.
It's so sweet listening to the music of a 9000RPM engine and exhaust sounds without the wine of the transmission!
Awhile back someone on this list recommended doing the Dynamat fix and I've been thinking of doing it ever since.
Check out additional pictures and text at:

Just looking at your web page I see you used an alternative method to getting the transmission out. Would you elaborate a bit on the choice to remove the motor mounts? Advantages, disadvantages, and important tools and techniques. Thanks!

I have a few question.
Why Dynamat Xtreame?
They make somthing for sound and heat for under the hood, I would think that this would be a better solution, then the Xtreame. (It might even be the same stuff for all I know)
Has this help with the heat as well? I know how hot it can get where you live (I grew up in San Ramon)
Thanks, Look great.

Motor mounts rather than sub frame:
To get to the necessary transmission bolts the motor had to be lowered an inche and a half to two inches or so. It worked great removing the motor mounts and pedestals (aluminum mounts the motor mount bolts to) and maneuver the motor with a floor jack. This looked much easier than messing with the sub frame and allowed me to move the motor side to side as well as up and down.
Dynamat Xtreame:
As for my choice of Dynamat Xtreame, it's very thin (couple millimeters or so) and allows the heat shield and pad (thin pad that's retained with plastic clips) to fit without any interference. And the real reason, where I got the Dynamat, they only had a couple choices so I probably didn't see the stuff for under the hood anyway... I picked up a 12 sq. ft. kit at a car audio store for $75.
Should help with the heat too as it aluminum coated to reflect heat.
