Something else caught my eye when they were talking about the new Nissan 350Z NISMO(pg 24) It states that "Nismo is Nissans answer to Toyota TRD, HONDA MUGEN, even BMW M and Mercedes AMG."

ARe they talking about an S2000 Mugen? A Civic Mugen? Or are they confused with the new CR? Does anyone know what they are referring to? Thanks.

 

They are referring to the in-house tuner. Nismo being Nissans, TRD being Toyotas -- Mugen isn't an official in-house tuner but it's the closest Honda has.

 

I think they are just saying that Nismo is a tuner for Nissan vehicles. Sort of a performance division.

Interesting to see the handling in order though provided by one tester.

Yeah, its lap time was only one second slower than the S. The Mini ran a 1:51.773 lap time and the S ran a 1:50.738 lap time. Interesting. The article covers about 30 pages otherwise I would sum it up.
