Default Motoring 2001 (TSN - Canada)

I just watched an episode of this weekly auto show (produced out of Toronto, I think) and noticed in the opening clip there are no less than 17 separate clips of the S2000, 1 of the Viper, 1 of the Audi TT, 1 of the Prowler and 1 each of a few other less significant vehicles (I was bored and I ran the tape frame by frame). Last year, Motoring 2000, the opening clip was mostly shots of the Dodge Viper. Anybody else notice this? It'll be interesting what they do in Motoring 2002.

I haven't seen it in a while, but I'm not sure whether it is based out of Toronto or Vancouver.

Does anyone know?

Yeah I noticed that as well, whats really funny is Jim Kenzie panned the car last year, said it was all show and no go...typical Kenzie. He never likes anything anyhow. Graham loved it btw

Theres also one in the opening of Motorweek.

Vancouver had "Driver's Seat" which later became "Inside Track" (renamed for a different network). Both featured Ted and Tony. Ted was the rather large one and Tony was the tall skinny one with the lip twitch. They're both writing for the newspapers now.

Jim Kenzie: quite controversial, but sometimes hits it on the mark.
Fletcher: how does one actually get a single round tuft of hair just above the forehead?

I wonder who the poor sap is that bought that S2000 they used for the show and for the tests. I'm sure it was beat to crap before it went to a dealer for retail sale. I bought the first Canadian Corvette ZR-1 press car after the journalists finished with it. They had to put new tires AND wheels on it 'cause they were so badly scraped up. Luckily for me the power train was fairly bullet proof. That was the only way I could afford it at the time. They were selling for $25-30K over list at the time for new. Sound familiar?

Yeah I've watched Ted and Tony for years now, its like Canadian Siskel and Ebert. I think they write for the Post now?

I went to the BMW exp driving course when Kenzie was there, he's actually not to bad of a guy really, but man he thinks he knows something about everything.

You hit Fletcher dead on.....why doesn't just take the razor to it...its like a Homer Simpson. Guy knows his stuff however. I like when he puts the helmet on, it always goes on slowly, as not to damage a single hair...they are precious.

The second S2000 I took out was in Orangeville, and the "lucky" person who got to buy it got an extra special press book, signed by the guys who drove it. It had the 2nd gear issue, interesting whines on decel and the brakes felt weak, the under carriage was scratched to an amazing level. And they wanted full price with 29,000kms on it! It was special of course. Poor bastard buying that one.

I think it might still be there.

Anyone?

Yeh.. great bunch of guys.. I rarely miss an episode.. and they absolutely LOVE the s2000, except for Graham Fletcher.. he prefers the Boxster.. I know this because he told me personally one day.
