is mpg likely to change when using different pumps/stations.
When the car is parked (to fill up) and it is not level, IOW leaning to one side or the other, then that alone will change how much gas goes in.

Mine is the same way . . . and I usually ride around a good 20 miles or so on 0 bars and still end up putting like 11.5 gallons in everytime. Only ONCE have I seen over 12 gallons of gas go into my car, and that was on the dragon (12.5 actually when I stopped at Deals gas) and we have a 13.1 gallon tank don't we? That being said, I think our gauge is very innacurate when it gets down low.
I am assuming here that because it's digital if the falls under a certian value then it will read i as less.. (does this make any sense)

I haven't checked the manual yet, but how much gas does our tank hold?

I am diong about 260-271 miles to the tank

I've noticed a large difference in city v. highway (23/29) but that's about it. Try to stick with Shell, Exxon, BP/Amoco premiums, they have the best additive packages (My dad is a Chemical engineer for the fuel companies.)
BP!!! You sure? There was a post a while back about the Top5 or Top10 company and BP was nowhere near it. And also by word of month by others, BP is like....poo.

I use Shell whenever I can, and Mobile as my alternative.

Well BP bought out Amoco Oil and has still been selling Amoco fuel (Crystal Clear 93 to be specific) at some BP stations which is THE best premium 93 octane available. Shell V-power is second place. I normally use Shell V-power because Amoco fuels aren't sold here anymore

Try to stick to the same pump if you're really interested in getting consistent MPG calculations.

I'm averaging about 270 miles per tank too. Most I've gotten out of my tank was 300 miles. I've also finished a tank with only 100 miles on a track vtecing most of the time.

So it all depends on how you drive it too. I do a lot of HWY driving so given that we have a 11.9 gallon tank, I can consistently do 25~26mpg. Those with a lot of city drives, anything above 20mpg is probably normal.

I'm averaging about 240-250 miles to the tank. I do a mix of highway and city driving, I have a test pipe and mild bolt-ons good.

Wow, what are your shifting habits....IE: what speed's, RMP's ETC....?

That, Is really good if you ask me. I usually get about 225 MAX out of my tank. and that is with no bars on the tank when I do a fill up.

Most, I ever got was going to Vegas from LA...I got there on a full tank (316 Miles) but, that was when I filled it to the rim.

I fill up, take my mileage and divide by the gallons put in. Reset trip.

I hope that is the most effective way of calculating.
That's a good start. Driving through more of the tank will give you a better calculation. IE, don't use a fill up that is less than 1/2 tank. Use those that take you to below 1/4 tank or less. Use numbers from fill ups that are at the same gas station (slope of the pad at that station). Take the gallons at the first pop or after you "top up", but do the same each time.

Typically, I don't run my tank anywhere near empty, but I get just over 200 miles per tank in the city when the last bar goes out and about 300 miles on the highway. Keep in mind that there is still a lot of gas left in the tank after the last light goes out.
If I were to give it to you in mpG, my Canadian (Imperial) Gallon is 1.2 US Gallon. I get about 22 to 24 mpG city and 35.9 mpG highway. I have 4.44 gears and a supercharger. When I was stock, I was able to get 39.9 mpG highway. I recall seeing a post here from a European S2000 owner who got something like 46 mpG (again, Imperial). Although "believeable", I was astonished.

Ah...I get about 270 to a tank when I was totally stock. 260 miles when pushing the light, so I say about 270 miles running it to empty. Its actually not that hard. I always shift around 3.8k rpm, except when I'm getting on the highway with a grandma in front of me,.....I go up to 5 or 5.5k in order to not cause an accident. Putting it in vtec every once in awhile when I want to have fun. That number is a good mix(50/50) city and highway.
