Default Mugen ECU install

I was looking for info on the Mugen N1 ECU but my search was cut short when this site's search was disabled.
First, is it a plug and play, so to speak, ECU? Meaning, does it plug in after removing stock with no modifications? I know on the RSX it requires a wire-splice and a ground.
Second, does it drastically hurt gas mileage? I read that it runs in open-loop at all times, thus giving horrible around town gas mileage (again, on the RSX, not S2K).
Thanks for any info.

I think you will need to splice wires for the immo. Gas mileage....I think it will hurt a bit.

AP1 Mugen ECU is plug and play.

recommend Octane is 94 or higher.

King recommend Mugen radiator cap, fan swithc, and thermostat to go with Mugen ECU.

You'll do fine with 93 octane. I've been using that for about a year now without problems.

What Sam said, you will need all of the cooling mods to complement the ECU.

Your city gas mileage will decrease. I used to drive 23-24 mpg city, now 20-21 mpg city. Mpg hwy does not change.

So did you just plug the ECU in and go, or did you have to splice wires?
