Mugen hardtop
Not sure if this fits in "UTH", mods, move thread as it may seem appropriate.
I currently have the OEM hardtop. I am contemplating about getting the Mugen hardtop. Would it fit on my current setup or would I have to remove the OEM install kit and replace with Mugen install kit?

Until someone with a Mugen HT posts to confirm this, I believe it is the same hardware that holds on the OEM hardtop. I know of someone who sold an OEM hardtop and left all the hardware on his car because the Mugen was a drop on and go.
(Yeah, UTH material.

Yes you can swap the material but will most likely have to buy some new clips because they tend to snap and break when you remove them.
Jeff - I do not have MG HT

What I prefer to do is leave all oem hardware in, and just drop the new top in. are the catchers or any other parts incompatible? What clips are you talking about?

Yes the mounting hardware is the same as OEM. The OEM hardtop mounts mounted in the car will accept a Mugen hardtop and vice versa.
The only thing that the Mugen hardtop doesn't compensate for is the defroster wiring. If you have a Mugen hardtop mounting kit and what to use an OEM hardtop, you WON'T have defroster capability unless you so add the wiring kit specific to your year car.
