Not sure but I don't think the mugen hardtop's come painted like the OEM. Figure another $500 to 1000 to paint it....

So if you bought the OEM aluminum top and replaced the glass with lexan you may have the lightest hardtop on the market.

If youi're buying the Mudgen, you are buying it for style only. The OEM's glass window is far superior to Mucgen's Lexan that will scratch and does not have defroster wires. I would defy Mudgen to challenge this. The difference in weight between a Lexan window and glass, relative to the overall weight of the top, is so negligible as to be ridiculous as a consideration. The Lexan is simply cheaper to produce.

IMHO, there is no hard top that looks as good as the soft top on this car. But opinions are like.....
