Default mugen header

Just wondering if any you guys out there with a header run the heat-shield that bolts to the header. I didn't put mine on, is that going to be a problem down the road? I know there is a ton of heat.

You won't have any problems down the road however it is in your better interest to put it on. The heatshield significantly decreases under hood temperatures and potentially increases the performance of the vehicle.

Then you have answered your own question before anyone else has answered.

I've been running nearly 4 years without the heatshield. I got it used and it didn't come with the heat shield.

I believe most aftermarket headers do not come with a heatshield.

It won't cause any problem, but it will keep much cooler under your hood, and retain the heat from your exhaust to make air flow faster (free mod).
