I just picked up by brand spankin' new silver '02 S2K and no sooner than a half hour of driving, I get pulled over by some motorcycle cop!

Entered a yellow and he said it was a full red. Told him I just bought it but his response was, "yeah right, I've heard that before". Hmmm...check the papers. Still gave me the ticket.

Well anyhow, the hell with that, I'm still grinning ear to ear and I LOVE IT!

The car had the factory spoilers (front and rear) and the sticker didn't include that price so I held it against them and got it thrown in for msrp, no markup.

First mods are probably going to be a hardtop (maybe Mugen) and some wheels. Ah yes...plenty of time for that stuff soon enough.

 

Hah - got you beat. I got pulled over on my S2K test drive. I was so into the revs I didn't even notice the crusier at the intersection. Thankfully I was able to talk my way out of the ticket.

Still ended up buying an S2K anyway. The way I figure it, I've met the ticket quota on the car for at least a few years.... :-)

Thanks MarkS2K, man, it was a no holds barred negotiation. The sales manager wanted 5K on top of the MSRP in addition to charging me for the spoiler package. I basically told them it was their fault by not adding the spoiler cost to the sticker price and that I would not pay any markup. On top of that, it was Saturday night and I told the guy that I didn't need the car. All that said and done, it took an hour or so and finally we closed.

Ah, the best part was listening to the saleman whine about it not being fair. Fair schmare. Not there to be his friend.

Now if that cop would have been a bit more negotiable, that would have made the night. Can't win 'em all.

The mechanical hum/gear whine is absolutely awesome! Ah...life is good.

 

YEah i got a ticket like that. Jerkoff cop, but on the flipside I came up on one doing 136 and slowed to 80 when i passed him. He was on the side of the road. Maybe he was napping, or what, but I got lucky!
