The MUZ x brace was shipped in a few days, easy install , the steering is imediately noticeably tighter and more responsive even going at 5mph turning the steering wheel back and forth! Great product! And it doesn't interfere with oil changes like some other x braces.

Interesting... someone pm'd me and said they didn't really feel any improvement after installing it.

Yes, there's a couple of people on the board who claim that x-braces in general do nothing (which is their right to do) however the overwhelmingly vast majority attest to their effectiveness.

Here's just a few threads on the x-brace. You'll find plenty more available on the board.

which would be better, to get: the x-brace, or a strut tower brace? or would they serve two different purposes?

Similar purposes. They work well in conjunction but if you are wanting to buy one or the other then you would notice the most benefit by buying and installing the x-brace.

I beg to differ with Muz on the STB (I have both)

The x-brace helps and is well worth the money!! However, the STB is just for looks because you can not strengthen the I beam that is below the factory air box

Furthermore we don't have struts

Am I getting a sense of deja vu here?

Bass is correct. We don't have struts, we have shock towers.

However everybody refers to the 'shock tower brace' as a 'strut tower brace' because that's what it's called on just about every other car on the planet. Old habits die hard I guess
