A Rick's "S" would be nice, made to match the the wheel badges. That way it would match the steering wheel badge.

Simple and spherical is the way to go! BTW, you can make yours shorter and get a shorter throw in the car. Here's one my son made for me.

If I am happy with the product I create for my own car I will definitely do this for others if there is a demand there.

Muz, I second tpn's idea for a small Rick's S badge insert. I think that would look classy and, who knows, you might see it become standard on the '03 S.

I think that I would take the model year and VIN in a ring around the top. That might be too much text on the gear shift. Perhaps just the serial number.
