So you're telling me that at 5mph when you took a turn and did a 180 going close to 5mph, it was the car? You can be on snow and have trouble doing that. There's no mechanical problem with the car. He stated 2,300RPM's from a stop that's when he shifted out of first. Not even the worst alignment in the world would make that possible for you to do a 180 at that speed.

I call to the story. You were probably stepping on the gas a little harder than you should've.

Kane funny and at the same time..

I still don't get it.. If we use JP's conditions I just can't see how it can happen. Leaving a red light, shifting at 2300RPM (????) and the car spins?

Not picking on JP, but I STILL can't figure out how pwople manage to do this (maybe thats a good thing, lol)

the story is sad. It was a brand new s2000 with no miles on it already going for a second owner. Plus the car will probably be sold to some sucker as a new car since the milage is like a new car.

Ya man, the story he's telling doesn't add up. It's just not possible to spin out at that speed without a good amount of gas being applied. You can even have bicycle wheels and tires on the car and it'd be hard to do.

If it were me, I'd get me a different car. It's already showing signs that it's not for me. I'd drive a good bit more and goto driving school or something until I know I can handle something like that.

If it is a power slide type of "drift," you should be able to keep control with INCREDIBLE EASE since the speeds are so slow and this is the most controlable way to drive with the rear loose. If you can't, then DONT TRY ANYTHING DUMB AT ALL.

Do 350Z's have traction control or some kind of DSC?

Hell, I have tried to spin mine more than a few times and have never been successful. You either have some serious alignment issues or you are not telling the complete story.

Heck, I could probably not spin the car and I've never driven a car, let alone an S2000

But I dunno, check the pressures and check the alignment like everyone is says and I hope it gets better.
