Default My 04 keeps randomly spinning out!!!

for some reason my 2004 S2k keeps spinning out into 180 degree slides. this has happened twice to me toda. once when i was leaving court, i was turning out of the lot doing like 15 mph downhill on a slight turn and for no reason the car went into a 180 slide and i hit the embankment. then leaving work through and intersection i stopped at the red, and as soon as in turn green, a lightly hit the gas shifted at 2,300 rpm and into the turn a spun out again. Anyone else noricing this problem?? or is it just me!?

Have you ever owned a rear wheel drive car before? You need to be delicate with the throttle when rounding turns, especially at low speeds or in slippery conditions.

Your first crash may have tweaked your alignment as well, making the car more susceptible to oversteer; you may want to check the pressures and have the car re-aligned.

Ice?snow?oil tanker spill?

Please don't tell me the road was dry. I would guess you have cold temps but I still fail to see how people do this.

It's cold out. You have summer tires on. Plus it's rwd and you're pressing the gas on a turn. Your tire pressure in the rear is probably too low. You're shifting too fast during the turn and popping off the clutch too quick so your revs are higher than the speed you're going. The engine and vehicle speed needs to balance out so either the engine speed will go down or the tire will spin.

Try checking those. Also, learn to countersteer a little.

You would be so surprise at how many people who don't know RWD that do this. The first MY04 at the dealership around me got bought before it was placed into the showroom. The guy came back the next day and returned it because he spun the car on 3 turns . Even said the vehicle had some defect. The only defect was him, period.
