Default MY 04+ OEM Hardtop Question

Hey guys, I'm about to install my recently purchased hardtop with some aftermarket hardware. I purchases the y-wire harness from Majestic Honda so I can use the defroster, but I can't figure out why the Driver-side catcher has a 2-pin plug that has to plug into the y-harness. Is this just a ground? from what I can see, this serves no function for turning the defroster ON/OFF

Here is the picture of the catcher I'm talking about and the 2-pin wire.

Maybe it disables the softtop up/down switch.

Oh, thats a good point. Didn't think about that one. If thats the case, then I may just find the fuse for the softtop. Does anyone with a hardtop know?

The Y harness also has the rubber grommet piece that connects to the defrost. So there's no point to not get it.

The connector behind the driver's seat connects to the Y harness, one end has the rubber surrounded plug for defrost (there's a circular rubber plug near where the catcher is on the plastic) and the other goes to disable the softtop.

I already purchased the y-harness. But since I don't have the OEM side catcher shown above, I can't plug the 3rd Pin. So is the general consensus that it is to disable to soft top operation?

Yes...disables soft top. TheMuffinMan is correct.
