How do you know the VSA came on, is there a light for it?

If it did and this is common among '06's, there will soon be a TSB.
Let them fix a few first before having yours done.

you must not have disabled it properly. Hold down the VSA button till the "!" light on the dash illuminates constantly. Then rev to what rpms - 5k give or take, and dump the clutch.

VSA should not turn itself back on unless you either switch it on again or the car has been restarted. Most likely you never disabled it in the first place.

I'm only done this once and VSA did not kick on at all.

Are you SURE you disabled it?
