Yea, I got that from a hot day or with A/C on by taking off around 2rpm and letting the clutch goes too fast. I found out to have it not lag by start taking off at 3rpm and letting go of the clutch slowly. Otherwise if you take clutch off quickly it will bog/lag.. Which I hate it so much.

iKMTi, do u do it with vsa on or off? i wonder if there is a way to have vsa off completely or have it off when i start the car and if i want it on, like a rainy day i can turn it on? i hate having to push that button every time i get in the car.

I have it too. Notice it with the VSA on and off. Hopefully my issue is related to the CEL that came on only 100 miles after I bought it. Apparently I was told it's a TSB with the primary O2 sensor.

When I scanned it, that's what it says. Weird.

^the bog has nothing to do with that CEL for the O2 sensor. there was a thread a couple months back about this. i really cant explain it, but it has something to do with the ecu, and the way it controls the engine between the 1 to 2 shift and starting off the line. i know for me, i can avoid it, like mentioned above, by keeping the revs higher. if i shift from 1st to 2nd in the lower rpms, i will experience this bog after letting the clutch out...but if you keep the rpms above 3-4, you wont/shouldnt feel it. same with starting off from a stand still.

I notice the same on my 07, if i start off normally/slow and all of a sudden give more gas it will bog for a second then surge a bit. I've never turned off VDC and my car is stock.

I also noticed this, but I thought it was the DBW since the throttle is controlled electronically.

Don't AP2's also have a clutch delay valve?

Yes. But I'm guessing they've implemented this ECU guard in addtion to the delay valve since bypassing it or removing it is fairly commonplace.
