Don't AP2's also have a clutch delay valve?
I've guessed this was the reason.
And it's got so little torque it's sort a dog until thrid gear and then it goes.
Love the car however.

It's lack of torque FTW!

Get gears or FI. Or keep it in the powerband.

^the bog has nothing to do with that CEL for the O2 sensor. there was a thread a couple months back about this. i really cant explain it, but it has something to do with the ecu, and the way it controls the engine between the 1 to 2 shift and starting off the line. i know for me, i can avoid it, like mentioned above, by keeping the revs higher. if i shift from 1st to 2nd in the lower rpms, i will experience this bog after letting the clutch out...but if you keep the rpms above 3-4, you wont/shouldnt feel it. same with starting off from a stand still.
I have the same problem. Just keep the rpm's up and it won't happen.

ive noticed in stop and go traffic when im just coasting along at a few miles an hour going from no gas to gas the transition is really rough. like ill give it some gas and it hesitates a second and then lurches and itll do the same when you let off. dont know if this is related but its annoying.

OP example sounds like clutch delay valve

*note, i have mine removed. i can tell a big difference between shifts. HOWEVER, even with it off, if i drop clutch at 4000 or something, there is still a noticeable BOG... (just not as extreme as 1-2 seconds). can be ascribed to small displacement motor and rwd with sticky tires (eagle f1)

your example - any stumbling in low rpm - you may want the usual suspects checked: o2 sensor, distributor, plugs, plug wires, etc

For the millionth time...

1. IT IS NOT the delay valve.

2. IT IS NOT VSA

3. This bogging usually occurs between 2000-2750 rpm on 2006 and 2007 vehicles. It feels as if there's a "hole" in the fuel map, where the engine seems to just fall on it face. It's not the DBW system lagging on anything. I had thought that only 06s had this, and thats why Honda changed the ECU for 2007 S2000s but apparently this didn't fix it.

i thought it was because of its low displacements engine. higher rev= more power, lower rev no power

TRust your 6th sense to adjust for this. Without thinking your body will react to couner the bog and it will always be totally unconscious.
For me it's almost a thing of the past.
The bog I get now is so rare it suprises me when it does occur..

100% -- my '06, stock, acts totally the same. The Honda tech admitted to me that it is a fuel map problem, and that Honda does not have a fix. I will keep complaining until something is available. My S is a D/D so this is a real PITA.
