Hey Wes,

I remember you posted pics of your differential in another thread. I thought you put the stock differentail back on and you had the car back already?? I guess I was wrong. I assume you'll be upgrading to the Kaaz differentail now.

Keep us posted.

agreed itsjustme, definately worth mentioning! even if he is out of warranty, its definately nice to know he's got sense in the noggin not to blame Honda for the entire issue.

That ended up being the axle. This time it's the differential, and the other axle.

Damn Wes, I forgot about the axle. Sorry to hear that you're car has been in the shop so much. I'm sure you're going to have a much stronger car after you get it back.

Thanks for being the guinea pig for all of us.

His failure looks just like what happened to ours. Basically, the whole differential assembly was shoved rearward thru the two retaining caps. I doubt that a different type LSD would make a difference.

We prototyped some strengthening caps for the car and they are holding up so far. It does require machining on the OEM caps to install. Is there enough demand for such a part to warrant us putting them into production? It could be sold as just a kit and the end user is responsible to the machining and installation, or we may sell the diff housing with the mods already done (sold on an exchange basis). Which would you want to see?

Mike, I need a machined version as soon as possible. I haven't ordered a new housing yet as I was waiting to see what you guys came up with, Shad mentioned that he was looking into a machined version.

From what I understand the Kaaz LSD has a higher torque rating, as well as having a clutch...both which should make it handle more force. We'll find out in due time.
