So, something on my lap fell, went to pick it up, accidentally redlined , bounced off rev limiter once or twice, immediatly took foot off pedal, engline came on, got to a light, stalled, no longer starts up, honda is cool

odd. I'm not sure that we have the whole story here. redlining the motor doesn't do that. so... how did you misshift it at redline? and what gear?

Ummm, huh?

Where did I put that BS flag again??

I'm not calling you a liar or anything so dramatic but either your engine was broken to begin with (it happens especially since it's only got 1K on the ODO, call it DOA) or there is more to this story that you are telling us.

Bouncing off the rev limiter should have NO adverse effect unless you do it for like 10 minutes.

Unless you downshifted and over-revved your engine, just bouncing off the rev limiter shouldn't hurt the engine. After all, the rev limiter is there as a safety device, so you DON'T damage the engine.
