When I am driving above 50 on smooth roads my car feels like it's drifiting. Almost like I'm gliding on ice. I always feel like my rear tires are spinning faster than my front tires for some reason. I also don't feel stable in curves. I feel like the back of the car is about to let loose and swing all the way around. I checked my tire tread and it was fine. I will be needing tires soon, but not yet.

Also the bump-steer seems to be getting worse. I have trouble keeping my car in a lane on the freeway without extra effort.

What's going on?

What kind of tires are you running at what psi? How much tread is left?

whats the pressure on them, when I drive sometimes that screw me up.

Checked your alignment lately? Incorrect alignment can make cars do strange things. Has your car always felt like this, or did it just start recently?

I'll have to check the pressue on them today. Thanks. Also, I don't know how much tread is left. I looked for the "indicator" yesterday and couldn't figure out where it was. I'll probably take the car in today and ask the Firestone folks about the indicator.

if you are running S02's I had a set that when tread got down they turned into glass...... S03's on the other hand keep better traction through the end of the tire life better.

I'm running Potenza RE750's. They don't have the traction like S-02's but they last longer and take bumps a million times better. They also do much better in rain.

Mav did you buy an 04 or just change the front of your car?
