I hate people like this. Jealous haters.

 

Do this. Get the rumor going around that your car got keyed, but mall security got it on camera. However, the mall's security policy is to only show it to the police and not to the victim until the police report has been completed and processed.

Then say you are going to press charges on whomever you can identify in the tape once the police show it to you. They are going to show it to you to see if you recognize the perp.

Also say since the damage exceeds $500, it is a felony destruction of property which can mean jail time.

Let a few days pass, then come in one day and go up to the guy and say, "I've seen the tape, I know it was you. Pay me $XXX now and I won't report you. You have 24 hours."

To do this requires you to be sure who it was and hope the rumor gets around.

 

people like that are cowards (i had my hood damaged); revell in the fact that they are AFRAID of you (they would never dare do that to your car with you there)
funny thing... i caught someone in the act once; i chased him with a bat and pepper spray - too bad he got a HUGE head start, or I would do something stupid for sure

 

Man that really sucks to hear about that.... so many messed up people out there. Hopefully it will get fixed.

I was lucky enough to have a witness and they will probably be caught pretty soon now.

 

Everyone has something to lose... act real calm and let good amount of time pass. People are easy to find. Then when they are least expecting it you exact your revenge.

 

Sorry to see what happened to your car...I can't tell from the pics, but if the scratches aren't that deep, you may be able to have that buffed out...just bring it to a body shop right away and have them check it out...

Also, if it's any consolation, I had the exact same thing happen to my S about a month after I drove it out of the showroom...same exact kind of damage too...it really pissed me off that I didn't even have the damned licence plates yet, and it was already in a body shop getting fixed...

Out of curiousity, did you and this other guy have some kind of bad blood between you two?
