My car was keyed and I am pissed
I went to Perimeter Mall here in Atlanta at the Cheesecake Factory (where I work) to pick up some Deuce Bigalo premier showing tickets tomorrow night from a girl who couldn't go. I was in the building no longer than 10 minutes, when I walk out to my car to see this:

There is another key mark underneath that that isn't viewable in the photo, sorry I took it with my 1.2 megapixel PDA camera.
I ran to the mall security, who phoned the police and I inquired if there were any cameras that might have seen it, but of course the answer was no, and there really isn't anything that can be done.
I'm pretty sure I know who did it, as when I pulled up into the spot, it was just after one of the kitchen guys pulled out in his 92-95 body style civic with fart cannon exhaust (you know the drill, the car looked like he riced it up at pep boys) and he was staring at my car because I don't think he knew that I had this kind of car (an S2000). He waved to a friend, another kitchen guy who was staring at my car also, who was on foot and was probably the person who did it. I know the guy because I work with him, but there is no way I can really prove it now.
There were no witnesses. Looks like I'm out a few hundred bucks, and further from getting the gears I want now.

Sucks man I had my whole eclipse keyed (every single fcuking pannel) before the s2k. I know how it feels. At least they didnt key every pannel. Just find a good body shop.
Does anyone know how much something like this will run? I've never had a car keyed before.
BTW duff0000 I love your wheels. I had those on my old SI... which was stolen. I'm ripe for vandalism.

you should talk to the guy you think did it at work and mention to him that "s2000 that god keyed up pretty good" and something like..."i saw a loser driving it" (etc etc) and see if he says that he did it. Don't forget your voice recorder
. Just an idea...won't help your workplace relationship though. good luck

This just sucks. What's even worse is that retaliation could just make them do something even worse to your car.
The world is full of NTL people (nothing to lose). You cannot win against them.
When my baby was 9 days old, some lady was backing out of her parking spot, didn't see me and crashed into my right front fender with her early 90's Ford Windstar (or similar) that was all beat up. She bent the trailing edge of the fender some and knocked my RF wheel out of alignment.
We waited 2 hours for the cops to show up. They cop wrote the report and gave her a ticket that the cop herself told the offender is pretty easy to "beat".
End result.... I call her insurance co. to get the claim process started. They tell me their insured stopped payments on their policy back in May '05 and that I should go through my co....... My insurance co. tells me they'll be more than happy to take care of the problem but it will be "strike 1" against me. I have no claims on my insurace since '98 when I insured my first car.
At least my damage was minimal. $80 to my Dent Wizard friend got the fender fixed and another $80 to get a 4 wheel alignment and all is OK now. (by the way....I'll be aligning all my new cars after purchase as this one was out of spec!)
This all tought me a lesson......if an NTL hits you and the damage is minimal, before calling the cops, you should ask for their insurance. If they HAVE insurance, call their company and find out if their policy is up to date. If not, then drive away and fix your car since you are going to have to anyway in the end and at least you won't have this black mark on your Carfax like I have now over nothing!
I apologise if I hijacked your thread but I hope this info helps all my S2K brothers out there.
