Here is the deal. My car needs new tires and a set of S03 tires aren't cheap. They cost about $700 shipped from tirerack. I am thinking a set of 2004 spec rims with tires aren't that far off in the price range wise $800-1200 depending on condition.

I plan on attending 4-5 track events this year and using the same set of tires. Which set of tires would be a better choice?

 

I'm very happy with the RE050. I did 13K miles which included 3 track days on the first set of rears before I took them off. They still had life but I didnt think they had enough for a 4th track day at Fall Colors + the milage to and from Pittsburgh.

 

I voted 17" but I'd really suggest 18's!
