I think you might be going a little overboard in your search. Basically it sounds like you're looking for a car that has averaged 1400 miles (or 2350kms) per year. Being garaged for 5 months out of the year it would have to be a car that is driven 50 miles or less each week the other 28 weeks of the year. That is really not very much. We aren't talking about some exotic beauty here that is being preserved because of it's incredible value.

Finding a car that has been that under-used would likely be worse than finding one that has been driven more regularly. I'm really tired right now but I'm sure someone else can elaborate on the types of corrosion and rust buildup that can occur inside the components of a vehicle that has been used on short trips only followed by days or weeks of inactivity.

Most owners drive these cars relatively hard. The engines and other accessories are still seeing 100-200k miles very easily. Find something with 30,000 miles in immaculate condition and enjoy it.
You're right. It's not a Ferrari with $25k services.

I'd take one that was used fairly regularly and well taken care of, over one that spent it's whole life in the garage.

Look for one with around 30k miles, and all records, and you should be golden.

my car had 14k miles when I bought it and it's 2002.

that's not bad considering I bought the car last year.

I think I agree with this.
Many people in the northern states buy this type of car (Corvettes come to mind) for summertime fun.
They sit in a garage the rest of the time.
You should be able to find several below 20k if you look.

Don Davis Honda (near Buffalo NY) has a red '03 with less than 10k miles. Looks prefect. Knowing this dealership I'd bet it's way over-priced.

That first one is good, especially since it "[i]ncludes a v-tech engine."

That's so weird, I also bought my '02 last year with only 14K miles on it...One year later, it's now at 16.1K miles....
