Default My Comptech exhaust is loud

Installed today. I got a lil' bit of a headache from driving around town. Just not used to the increased boomy noise. I don't know how you single exhaust guys do it.

Hopefully it gets better cuz it ain't coming off.

I don't think it gets quieter - unless you fill your trunk up with stuff, or drive with the top down or use one of those top liners.

if you think the comptech exhaust is loud don't ever buy any other....it's probably the least noisey of all the exhausts out there

The Comptech is most noticeable in the 3K-5K range. It's a nice low rumble and does not completely disappear like some other exhausts when pushed into VTEC.

It looks shiny from behind. Very reflective. I didn't like that when I first saw it a long time ago, but I realize now that it gives it a definite modded look which is cool.

The car has a bit more torque under 6K, but that's about it. It weighs the same as stock or a little lighter. Not sure.

Nah, I'm golden, S4man. Just gotta get used to it (lose some hearing).

I just posted mainly because from reading exhaust comparisons on this board, I got the impression that the Comptech was a pretty quiet exhaust. The accurate description would be that it's "relatively quieter."

For those that are used to the stock exhaust and want some more noise, don't let them fool you. Comptech is plenty in-your-face.

Make sure you guys drive around with all the exhausts you're thinking about buying before committment (scary word).

Sound clips don't do jack schmidt.
