Uhm.. no..

The comptech is one of the loudest dual muffler exhaust for our car. The mugen is definately the quietest.

The HKS is nice because its volume is more dependant on throttle position than on rpm range. So it's no where as loud or boomy when you are cruzing. But when you stand on it, it wakes up.

Ask Silversurfer.

I just installed the N1 by J's......hehe, if you thought the comptech is loud, you ought to go driving around on my car......my ears are ringing........but I would not change it for the world.......well maybe in a few months after I end up with miracle ears.......

Anyway, the power gains are extremely noticeable......going to the track tomorrow so I will be able to give some numbers....

Anyone know if Tubi makes one? It seems the Tubi on the NSX sounds better than the Tubi on an F360 - according to a friend of mine who has both - the cars and the Tubis on each.

When I was looking for an exhaust, I called Comptech & they told me their exhaust is 3 pounds lighter then stock. I've only heard 2 exhaust for the s2k (Amuse & HKS). I agree completely how the HKS sounds like. It's louder then stock, but yet so gentle on the ears still.

I was originally all set on the HKS. Looks the most aggressive, but the sound turned me off. It sounds cheap.

I'll try to get some solid pics of the exhaust for you, DeeGym. I know you've been looking around for an exhaust for a while. I'll try to help you out. It looks very reflective in all stainless steel and definitely has the modded look. The fit is absolutely perfect and uses the stock mounts/brackets.

If you like boomy, the Comptech's got it and at WOT, you can still hear the exhaust doing its thing unlike the others.

I could've bought a new Neuspeed exhaust for the same price or maybe less than I bought this exhaust used, but in a way, I like knowing that I have something Comptech on my car. Yes, I am a name-brand shopper to a certain extent. And if I happen to sell it again, I'm probably going to recoup most of the cost because you simply can't get Comptech stuff at firesale prices.

After day three, no more headaches.

WRS2K,
Did you end up just getting it installed at a local muffler shop? What did you pay and how long did it take them? Did you keep your stock exhaust or did they cut it up and just throw it away?

Banannie, a member of this board, is the one who sold it to me. She said her husband would install it for $50 so it was a win/win situation for both parties. The local shop was going to charge me $100.

Stock exhaust is in storage, all in one piece. I think you got wronged by the dude who just cut it up without even asking you.

You're just getting wronged left and right, bro!
