It is strange the way cameras can play 'tricks'. I have a console cover that a local auto trimmer did for me, and to look at it is almost a perfect match for the red of the seats, but in the photos it looks somewhat orange and like it would stand out like dog's b@lls...

Maybe the seats have conditioner on them and the console cover doesn't which makes it looks different in color.

I recently installed my Red/perforated red sides console cover and I am thoroughly impressed! The fit and finish is exceptional, and the leather is a much, much higher quality than the stock leather seats and panels.

In plain eye view, you cannot tell a difference in color. It is a perfect match. I am not sure how my pictures will turn out (off a disposible, my other camera is missing ), but I will be posting them as soon as they are developed!

Thanks again Aus!!!!!

If anyone in the Portland area needs help on the install (took me just over an hour), or wants to get an up close view of the product, I will be more than happy to help out.

I do condition my seats about twice a year actually.

Why does the install take so long 60-90 minutes?

ReedZ installed my Rick's Console cover in "maybe" 10 minutes.

Firstly, Muz also installed the shift boot. It's a pain.

Secondly, to install the Aus Console Cover you need to remove the centre console unit, which necessitates removing the shift knob.

Then you lay the console cover over the centre console and tuck the front and back in under the plastic. You can take as little or as much tme as you like, but the more time you spend, the better the results.

I've installed quite a few now and would suggest 1 hour for an inexperienced installer and about 30 minutes for someone with a few installs up their sleeve.

One button is a dummy and the other is designed so that when your GF gets amorous and leans over the console you get a cold shower (it triggers the headlight washers).

On AUS 2002's the button is relocated to the dash.
