I know i'm not a vendor, but since i'm actually not making money compared to how long it takes me to make them, I dont think its a bad thing to post this. I felt bad many months ago when everyone was asking for this, but since they were so hard to get from japan, I couldn't do much to help. But now that there are a few in stock, I wanted you guys to get the first chance at it.

I didn't see his, but this is the same harness I used in my Prelude and now my S2000 without any problems.

Update: I guess the owners of this board don't want me to help anyone out unless I pay money for advertisement. Nice forum.

can't you post that on the Group Buy and For Sale Forum?

everyone else seems to be able to sell things whether "for profit" or not in that section...

JJ,

Not true. Only sponsors can post commercial threads.

Thanks for your contribution. Before you go running off about how the judging is fixed consider these points:

1) The rules are basic and apply to all. If anyone here moderates in a consistant fashion it's Strike. He's ruthless and maticulous and consistant. God love him for the massive amount of time he puts in. It may seem like a pain to you but it keeps this site running non-stop and reliably for 18 months now.

2) Brandonb started a group buy on these items not too long ago. Why did we not bother him about his buy on the very same item? Simple. He went out and contracted to have them made and passed the cost on to the buyers. That's how owner sponsored group buys work. Others too have had group buys. s2kman had a couple of group buys on a Sony remote control unit. He made a profit, a small one, and in return he made a contribution by paying us $25 for each GB he held.

3) I don't completely understand how your arrangement with Diablo works but to me (and to Strike) it looks unusual. First, your pic has Diablo written on one of the connectors which, to me, implies that these are Diablo parts whether you did the labor or not. Second, you've got a link to Diablo's web site in your signature. That is clearly against the rules. No promotion of profit making business is allowed. If a profit making company wants to publicize themselves then they should bear some of the costs of that promotion (ie. pay for it). Third, you posted a link which clearly shows your "home made" product being a regular item in a non-sponsor's catalog.

The determination of what is commercial and what isn't is very grey. We've seen a lot of borderline threads and seen a lot of scams. I'm not saying yours is a scam but the points I mention above require some clarification. Until we can more precisely classify your thread it is deemed commercial.

We protect the advertising rights of the sponsors who pay for those rights. We also allow "non-commercial" group buys conducted by owners. Having an owner conduct a group buy on behalf of a non-sponsor is not "non-commercial".

To recap:

1) Your product is a non-sponsor catalog item.
2) Your link to that same non-sponsor's web site casts doubt on the nature of your relationship with them.

If you can clarify these two items to our satisfaction then we will of course allow you to continue your group buy.
