Default My Ducati gets more good comments than my S2000

It happened again and I can't figure it out. I was walking out of the building at work and our receptionist said, "You ride a motorcycle don't you? Isn't it a Ducati?" I said "Yes, and I also have an S2000 sports car". Then she said "That motorcycle sure is cool".

I've gotten similar comments from neighbors as well. When I offer to show them the car or the bike they almost always want to have a closer look at the bike.

I didn't buy either one to impress anybody, I got them because I though they would be fun and they both are. What I can't understand, though, is why I get more comments on the bike, since I paid like four times as much for the car. It's not more rare either, since my particular model has been sold here since 1994 and they've built like 60,000 of them so far.

Is this maybe just a California thing?

because most people think the S2000 is "just a Honda".

I don't really see a lot of Ducati's down here. It's probably a much rarer sighting than the S2K is. I see an S2K almost everytime I go out driving.

Nice Bike. If I was at your house when that picture was taken, I too would have went up to the bike first. Like MarkS2k said above, you see a lot more S2k's than Ducati's. Oh, nice car to BTW.

I too own a Ducati and an S2000. Very similar machines in many respects. Girls are most interested in the car (what the hey, they can ride as a passenger in that). Guys are most interested in the car.

Really I wonder why. Really all the duc's look nice right now, down the the monster darks. But what really calls to me is a MH900e. I want one so bad, I even saw one at a car show, driven on the weekend little trick stuff added to it. I fell in love, almost worth it to trade the S for one + a nice used 748 S.

I had a R1, and girls were more drawn to the s2000. And bikes do not come much better looking than the R1...
