amcnguyen, I understand how you feel about these classes. I quit my job in '97 and went back to finish my degree. Most of what I had left were those kinds of things: foreign language, writing classes, art (I took photography), etc. I was OK with the "well-rounded education" thing. Then I realized how badly I was getting screwed. Every artsy-fartsy class I took had a number of people in it that were majoring in writing, photography, or whatever. But those people didn't take math and science classes with the math and engineering majors. If I need to take right-brain classes with the people majoring in those subjects, then they should be required to take the same math and science classes the engineers take. But they fulfill their math requirement with some junior-high school level math. That's a load of BS!

^^^ hahaha those are lower devision "artsy fartsy" classes, i doubt a left brained book jockey would be able to tackle an advanced critical writting class, let alone a creative non fiction.

i think the same way except i think math should be removed from my required course curriculum, as a history major, i plan to be teaching and writting at/for higher level learning college+, when will i ever use any type of math beyond basic junior high school? let me tell you i will be avoiding it.

that picture is rather flawless. Honestly i could write forever about it and i hate writing. To the OP the writing was good but i think more passion about the car might have helped. Regardless for it being about the s2k.

Correct. And freshman calculus and freshman chemistry are lower-division left-brain classes. And let's face it: as a history major, college level mathematics has already been removed from your curriculum. Unless you just take some higher-level courses than are required.
