My first extensive experience with passing: wow!
Believe it or not, today was my first opportunity to drive the car hard on a two lane highway where passing was consistently possible: Route 258 in North Carolina, between Rocky Mount and Trenton, on the way to a short vacation in Emerald Isle.
I passed as many as four cars in a stretch (more would have been possible, but they weren't there). Select the right gear, punch it, and say bye, bye!
I never felt safer passing. This car amazes me every day!

wow, i punched my stook right after I broke it in. I hit 130 on a mildly busy highway. Just watch out for those assholes that turn into lanes without a blinker. I honk at them everytime, someone has to teach them a leason.

Me too! I honk for the same reason. Or I go and cut them off to show them what it's like. Mostly SUV drivers are the ones that think they are unstopable and switch lanes without signaling. And when I get stuck driving infront of an SUV at night with there lights aiming right at my mirrors, i just slow down and let them get infront and I drive behind them only to surprise them that my lights are brighter and flash as I go over the bumps. HEHEHE
Rick, You're making me homesick. I used to drive two lanes from Durham to Wrightsville Beach in my alfa, and passing in it was fun, but much trickier than it would be in the "S"-similar handling, but much less punch!
Dirver,
Yes, two colors. Black is always on the sides, the color option is for the top.
SFDukie,
258 in NC is ideal for high speed passing. Lot's of long, straight stretches with a clear view ahead; very rural with few side roads or houses where traffic might emerge unexpectedly; a 55 mph limit; and SUVs and vans loaded with beach chairs on the way to the coast.
I love North Carolina!
