My first s2000!
Any particular reason for burying so much information in an introductory thread? (Instead of spreading them out over a number of threads in different sections of the forum where more people would be likely to run across them and possibly benefit from the details of your experiences?)

Should I branch out? I don't mind at all. (Also, didn't think people would find my posts useful, I don't know what I'm doing most of the time, lol)
So far looks like a solid pick up. Congrats! S2000s are some of the most fun yet reliable sports cars ever made. I bought my clean title, stock '03 with 130k miles in summer 2016 for $9300. Mine uses a little oil; it averages out to 1 quart in 1900 miles with mostly street driving (little highway) and some spirited acceleration. Having a good service history is good peace of mind. Stay on top of checking the oil. In case yours consumes a bit, you want to make sure not to let it go below the minimum mark on the dipstick. That's the most important maintenance suggestion, followed by having a good summer tire and keep up with the tread depth. Rears last about half as long as the fronts.
Honda has recommended in their owners manuals to check the engine oil at every fuel fill up, for decades. It's not an AP1-specific thing. My 1994 Civic EX had that recommendation printed in the manual. Also, you'll find that oil consumption of 1 quart per 1000 miles is considered "normal" among many car manufacturers and also is not an AP1-specific guideline. I consider it a manufacturer "cover our butt" measure, because to many people that's excessive and unacceptable. But yeah, AP1s can drink, but not all of them, as discussions on here will attest.
Have fun and keep learning about your S2000!

Pricing is relative when you start turning back the calendar. There was a point in time when $7,900 could have bought more car than you ended up with. The same goes for my car. Current shoppers should realize that references to prices paid in 2019 and beyond aren't as valid as those from just the past few months. Don't forget that purchase prices only tell part of the story. One guy might buy a car for $16K while another buys a very similar looking car for $19K. If the first buyer ends up needing to dump a a bunch of parts that cost a few thousand dollars into his car plus a bunch of his time (or worse, paying someone else for their time) then that changes the value equation. The reality is that few used cars are truly turn key in nature, so you have to consider the first year or two of ownership overall with regards to the car's cost value.
@Sosa929 , it appears to me that you did quite well for yourself. Only time will tell, but I would hope that you are still hanging around this place a few years down the road and that your S2000 has provided you with far more joy than pain at that point in time. Then you'll know for sure that you did good and by that point in time the price paid won't matter nearly as much as the good times you'll have had with your car. That's really what most of us are buying these cars for anyway.
