Thanks Munch,

I like them myself too. I've been comtemplating removing the windscreen tape, but I like it this way with the hardtop on.

Ronald,

I've got a few questions...

With the hard top, does the soft top just sit in the well? I assume the boot doesn't go over it correct?

Is it a two people just to take off the hardtop?

One last one, I was looking at the instructions and it seems that they change out the latch on the car, does that mean the soft top no long will work?

thanks,
-Shing

Hi Shingles,

the soft top is just in the down position. The tonneau cover cannot be applied.

You need two people to take it off and put it on, but I made a construction in my garage (if you look closely you can see some wires in my garage) to take it off by myself. But I'm not completely satisfied with it. It's way easier to do it with two people. The hardtop is extremely light. I can easily pick it up myself. Before I had a '97 Alfa Spider V6L and you needed two people to be able to carry the hardtop. Luckily I still have the stand for my old hardtop and it fits great with the S2000 hardtop!

The hardtop has it own latches to attach to the windshield top bar.

The soft top still works, but I'm not sure what the garage did to it, since the passenger side latch is now very difficult to open. I'll have to check with them again.

Hi,
Looks great!
I have had mine on order since Jan 2001 and hope to get it soon. Did you have the dealer install? I will be doing it myself but the Service Manual has a whole section on the top installation. In addition, information on replacement of glass, head liner, etc..
I WISH the soft top cover was able to be used just for the "clean look"...
Oh well, can't have everything!
They call for the defroster switch to be located in the console but I am thinking about putting on the "blank" panel to the right of the steering wheel (many people have asked if this is "for something" but it is not so I may put it there.....just a thought. Is the switch lighted for night time?

How is the sound now? It has to be VERY different car with no noise?!?
Thanks for posting the photo's, what did you shoot them with?

Again, Looks Great!

Wow...looks nice man.

I will probably go for a hard top when my soft top gets worn out by the elements (shouln't be for a long time because the car is always garaged). I was thinking about removing the soft top assembly alltogether...so it's either hard top or no top!

Ronald, Are you going to remove the black tape from around the windsheild now for a cleaner look?

I think you should leave the black tape on. It blends in with the black coming off the side windows. Why does everybody hide their license plate number...we're a trustworthy group.

The General:

The garage did the install, it's included in te price, so why bother?

The defroster switch is next to the headlight washer switch (see the photo in the cabin)

The sound is lot less, it's still more moisy than a sedan. But that's life with a highrevving engine.

Unicron:

That's quite a radical idea. In our climate that's not an option and also the insurance wouldn't like it.

DoctorJ & JPit:

I leave the tape on, the styling is also in the rooftop.
