Default my horrible ordeal

Ok so as some of you may know my seats were stolen in early November of 2007. This alone sucked a lot and would lead a man to cry himself to sleep at night As soon as this happened i called geico and filed the claim. After about a month of dealing with those assholes they decide that they will cover my claim. (At first they told me that i did not have comprehensive coverage). So they take their sweet time and about another 2 weeks to send someone to my house to look at the damage.

2 weeks after that I recieve a check for about 5000 dollars made out to myself as well as a local bodyshop in town. I bring it to him but he says that because I ordered aftermarket parts and he is only painting my top that he will get taxed on the 5000 and I need to have the check made out to just myself. Fair enough I thought. i didnt want to screw this guy. So i spend another hour on the phone with geico to have them send the check to me this time... althought this cannot be done. it has to be made out to me as well as the bank with which i am making my monthly payments too.

So at this point i try to remain calm but its very hard... THese past few weeks have been hell but I love the s2k so i continue on my journey. Had i only known what lied ahead i would have shot myself and ended all this misery.

Well the check comes ... again ... and i send it to my banks headquarters where they have to sign it over to myself so i can pay fot the parts that i had ordered. (A spoon hardtop from invision performance and 2 recaro seats and 2 takata harnesses from import tuning garage). Remember this, this is important later on...

So they tell me a week till i will have the check back in my hands... A week passes... no check... another week passes... no check... i call them up and tell them my dilema and that they said they would send the check. After a few days of dealing with these scumbags they agree, again, to send MY check to ME... a week passes and i finally receive the check so i then bank it and PAY FOR MY PARTS IN FULL.

So i calmly wait for my parst to come from Japan and germany and california. well invision is incredible and the 3 month wait on the hardtop was actually only 1 month. i was amazed and i cannot express how much i love invision for their great service. About a week later my seats, harnesses and rails come. a little longer wait than expected but o well its all here... but of course i am cursed and to my dismay when i open the box i realize they had sent me two different seats. WTF... im pissed but still calm because its a new year and i must be happy for mine as well as others wellbeing. I calmly try to install it and deal with the two different seats, but the 1 doesnt fit the rails and cant be mounted in the car. i am upset so i call import tuning garage... of course the man who i dealt with is on vacation for a month and will not be able to return my calls or emails. So i wait........

in the meantime all is well with the hardtop...

so after i wait and wait i finally get a hold of (itg) so they say take pics, i take pics and send them to desired email address, a week passes.. no dice... so i call and send pics to a friend of the owner's of the company. The friends company is called auto talent. So after sending him the pics i hear nothing...

after about a month of chasing them around they finally realize the mistake and agree to send my my second matching seat in exchange for the wrong seat they sent me... at this point my brain is jello having dealt with all this... so i send my seat hoping that i will get mine... well of course 2 weeks go by and nothing... i send email after email and i get them back one after another saying that the trakcing info is on its way.. well i call and call and finally they say call auto talent he has the info, this was this afternoon.

I call him and he says THE SEAT WAS INSTALLED AND WE CANNOT SELL IT AS NEW SO THERE IS A SLIGHT DILEMA....WWWTTTTFFFFF.... ok so now im pissed as all hell. i am thinking of terrible things about these two companies who should be dealing with this problem with more respect than they are. So he tells me to call tomorrow and he will have an answer for me.. well im at my last straw, i have off next week and im thinking about taking a little trip to california and dealing with these idiots face to face. Maybe then when they see the rage in my eyes will they decide to do business in a respectable manner and not act like a bunch of 5 year olds trading snacks at lunchtime. I have spent a lot of time and money and to for this to happen i will never do business nor reccomend business to anyone with these companies.

Invision once again is incredible btw. i love them and will continue to deal with adults like alex who actually deliver before they say they will.

well here is my vent for the evening... it has been about 5 months since the theft of my seats as well as the ordering of my new seats... if they decide not to send my seat tomorrow when i call them... they will have a huge problem on their hands...


well i have called today and not to my suprise neither company is answering my calls

So, first problem - no seat locks, so no seats.

Second problem - you have GEICO. That company really sucks.

Third problem, dealing with third parties that seem clueless. No help for you there - that sucks.

I agree on the second part. Geico is HORRIBLE. I had them. Never, ever, ever again. And I tell everyone I meet too.

That is quite a little story!

I think that I would've paid by credit card and given up on these guys a lot sooner, then let the CC company pursue them. Send out the wrong parts and then not take responsibility for everything? I'd expect a little bending over backwards at that point, with them taking the seat back at their cost immediately, with not a mention of any other problems.

I dunno how you've put up with this stuff going on for 5 months...

I can't believe the patience you have. Good luck man, I hope everything works out. I guess atleast you can drive around with only one seat for now.

That sucks!!! I'm dealing with a similar problem with my friend's integra and seibon, they sent him a hood that sucks and he needs to eat the bill to send it back.
