Default My laser jammer worked!

In the 2.5 years I've had a Lidatek Laser Echo installed on my S, I actually haven't been targetted by laser... (Weekend car...) Although I know it would set of a laser detector, the only real proof would be if an officer tried targetting my bright yellow "pull-me-over-now" S, unusually failed to get a speed reading and subsequently pulled be over anyway.

That exact thing happened about 6 hours ago! I lane-changed in slow traffic to the far right lane to accellerate around a tractor-trailer and head to my exit, when all hell broke loose (read: laser alert tone blasting). As I braked, I saw the speedo drop from the 86+ it was climbing to, down to high 60's before I realized if he got a lock it would look suspicious. After I passed, I saw him turn around in my rear-view mirror and shoot me from the back...

Although the semi ran interference for me, the cop followed me off the exit and then asked why he couldn't get my speed. He said his laser gun "beeped" at him, to which I asked, "What does that mean?" He said, "I don't know.."!! Heh..

Thank you Lidatek, my Laser Echo is now half paid for!

(Just thought I'd share my proof positive since I've read a lot of conjecture over the years.)

Enjoy,

Randy

Great story! It warms my heart that you got away with this. I know that speeding is "dangerous" and "against the law" but I completely resent the fast that we are paying tax dollars for police departments to spend millions on "surveillance equipment"(radar/laser guns) to enforce traffic laws relentlessly while millions of felony arrest warrants around the country go unserved and those felons are free to commit more crimes.

Some would argue though that breaking the law is breaking the law, regardless of the severity. Also, much like the person that drives 20 miles an hour below the speed limit is dangerous, so is the person that drives 20 miles an hour over it.

This is so true. I really hate those type of drivers going 40 in a 55. To me that is more dangerous than someone going 65 in a 55. The slow driver is risking someone rear ending him, and a head on collision to the other driver from unnecessary passing.
