hey, so i was at my girlfriends house yesterday and me, her, and her friend Brad decided to go the park and just chill. so i parked my car and infront of it was a curb. So Brad says "hey!" "i love your car man!" "Can i drive it?" and im like ok, sure. big mistake! me and my girlfriend are sittin down just talkin when i hear this loud, crunching noise! and i knew my lip was gone. I guess he didnt know you had to push down in, then right then down again to reverse and he went right into the curb!! I dont really know my girlfriends friend that well and i didnt fight with him or nothin and i didnt get mad, i was jus lookin at my lip holdin it in my hand all the pieces...and he kept sayin, im sorry man, im sorry. should i ask him for the money for it?? i dont know why, but i feel weird askin him...i mean, after all, it was my fault cuz i shouldnt have given him the keys, but now what! 
this really sux...i paid $200 for the lip, and an extra 150 gettin it painted and put it on. My S2000 looks so naked today, i couldnt even bare to look at it. the car looks so different now. i loved the Amuse lip, it made the car look so much agressive...the only reason i dont wanna ask him for the money cuz it was an accident and i dont know him that well and i shouldnt have given him the keys but i dont know what to do now. any suggestions? the lip is made out of fiberglass, can it be put back together at all? thanks

After reading what you wrote, F*CK yeah that guy should pay. Why should you feel bad and why should it be your fault? He asked to drive it. He should be responsible for it. He's got some nerve not even offering to pay... Sorry doesn't cut it. N-O W-A-Y! If you don't call him I will

update, my gf feels so bad shes like ill work extra hours this week and ill pay u the $350. and im like no! u had nothin to do with it, forget it, its ur damn friend! so she jus gave me his # and im gonna call him and be like give me my money son! and if that doesnt work, im gonna have wantone call him! : ) R.I.P Amuse Lip

I don't understand why he didn't offer to pay for it himself? What kinda person breaks something not theirs and doesn't offer to compensate? He's the kinda guy that will hit your car and drive off w/o leaving a note.
