Default My MY07 Doesn't have CDV! YAYYY

So i know that the AP2s have the CDV, and ive driven plenty of 04 and 05s and remember hating it because of the cdv. However, i finally broke in my engine a few days ago and got a chance to really tear it up........but guess what? No sign of CDV whatsoever. I can do perfect launches, spinouts, chirps repeatedly and no intrusion by the car at any time. i was thinking maybe since it has VSA they opted not to put the cdv.......anybody have any idea on this? THanks in advance.

if we had cdv, we WOULDN'T be able to do that.......because cdv is there to prevent exactly that from happening. Ive driven about 10 MY04 and 05 models with cdv intruding every single time but never from my 07. I don't know about the 06s, but since both the 06 and 07 have vsa...maybe they skimped out on it?

well whether or not it has a CDV, i can launch my car SO beautifully...and it actually launches way better with VSA on, so smooth, no bogging, perfect clutch slippage. however with VSA off... the car just bogs to shit no matter the RPM.

Do your gears engage immediately at high rpm WOT shifts? Everytime? If so, then maybe its not working.. and lucky you

If not everytime.. then it sounds familiar. My friend has a MY05 and usually the CDV would kick in but he would be able to chirp once in a while.

Other than that.. to make sure you dont have CDV you can look under your car. The valve thing is attached to the bottom on the transmission. If it's there, whether or not its working, you have CDV.

I took mine out about 2 months ago and it feels great

If your tires aren't spinning when you launch.. your doing it wrong.. And the vsa should be PREVENTING wheel spin?

i tried launching with VSA on once.. forgot to turn it off. I think my car closed the throttle body immediately because of the loss of traction. I just felt a sudden power loss and went back on my way like normal. boo for me

07s have CDVs

VSA will slow your launch. What RPMs are you launching it at?
