Beauty in the eye of the beholder...though I think this is more purpose oriented.

Anything can be powdercoated, polished or anodized. I am sure the purpose of this thread was to share an innovative answer to an issue that frustrates many s2000 owners. The stock cupholder is awkwardly placed. Other than serving as a change receptacle, it make shifting uncomfortable with anything larger than a medium sized cup. The lack of cupholders - though not an issue for all, has been addressed in the '04's. Similar to many threads xviper has started or contributed to in the past, this thread was intended as an inspiration to the creatively challenged or mechanically impaired. Which do you fall under?

Thanks for sharing Dave.
It's still ugly.

I suppose "beauty" is in the eye of the beholder as is "ugly". I wasn't bucking for an award with "Ladies Home Decorating". I just wanted someplace else to put a cup when I'm travelling that doesn't interfere with the shifting.
Understood but it's still ugly.

I'm just being silly ! Can't we all just get along!

Seems like that whole brace thing could come out quite easily spilling your drink all over your floor

I would paint it black to match your interior color so it doesn't stand out so bad.

Not to worry. There are 3 self tapping screws that go into the solid part of the center console. It's not going anywhere.

How much do you want for it?

And, more impotently, does it come in CF?

The site that was linked has them for $26-$99, depending on size, metal and finish. Ask me some of the finishes can look real snazzy in the right colored s2k.

Thanks for the link xviper. I think I may end up ordering one once I get my car.

xviper, thanks for sharing. I have a cheap walmart drinkholder hanging just below where you placed yours on the left fastener that holds the net storage. Yours is much better. I am ordering one.
